Jaunt Privacy Policy

Introduction

Welcome to Jaunt, operated by Jaunt Travel, LLC, a Delaware company ("Jaunt Travel," "we," "us," or "our"). Jaunt is a search and comparison platform that helps travelers discover properties and compare available booking options. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and safeguard information when you visit www.jauntdirect.com (the "Site"), create or use a Jaunt account, list or manage a property, use Jaunt search and comparison features, or otherwise interact with Jaunt.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Jaunt” includes the services offered through the Jaunt platform and the JauntDirect.com website. References to the “Site” mean www.jauntdirect.com.

Jaunt may connect with MyStay Rewards, a rewards program also operated by Jaunt Travel, LLC. Information relating specifically to participation in MyStay Rewards is also subject to the MyStay Rewards Privacy Policy and applicable program rules.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Jaunt, we may collect the following categories of information:

Personal Identification Information

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Mailing address, when provided or needed

Account, Host, and Property Information

• Guest, host, property manager, and other account registration and profile details
• Property and listing information, including property identifiers, addresses or locations, descriptions, photos, amenities, booking links, calendar or availability information, and other listing details
• Information identifying or verifying hosts, property managers, authorized representatives, or property ownership or management relationships
• Host Dashboard activity, listing settings, connected booking channels, direct-booking information, and account management actions

Search, Booking, and Comparison Information

• Search destinations, dates, filters, saved properties, viewed properties, and other search or trip activity
• Pricing, availability, booking-channel, and comparison information associated with properties you view
• Outbound clicks and the booking platform, direct-booking website, or other destination you choose to continue to
• Reservation, stay, or booking information when provided by you or received from an authorized partner or integration

MyStay Rewards Information

• MyStay Rewards membership status and account identifiers used to connect Jaunt and MyStay Rewards experiences
• Rewards information displayed in connection with properties or booking options
• Information needed to associate eligible Jaunt activity, bookings, or stays with MyStay Rewards where applicable

Usage and Technical Data

• IP address
• Browser type, operating system, and device information
• Pages visited, searches performed, links clicked, and time and date of activity
• General or approximate location inferred from IP address or search activity
• Device, account, listing, booking, and activity signals used to operate Jaunt, maintain security, measure usage, and help detect suspicious activity, fraud, or abuse

2. How We Collect Information

We may collect information:

• Directly from you when you register, manage an account, add or claim a property, connect booking options, contact us, save a stay, or otherwise provide information to Jaunt
• From hosts, property managers, property management systems (PMS), booking channels, direct-booking providers, travel partners, data providers, and other authorized integrations or sources used to provide property, pricing, availability, booking-option, or related information
• From MyStay Rewards when needed to operate a connected guest identity, display rewards information, or support eligible rewards activity
• From service providers that support hosting, communications, analytics, security, fraud prevention, customer support, and other Jaunt operations
• Through cookies and similar technologies that help operate the Site, remember preferences, measure usage, attribute referrals or outbound activity, and support security, analytics, and fraud prevention

3. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

• Provide and manage guest, host, property manager, and other Jaunt accounts and experiences
• Operate property search, comparison, saved stays, property pages, host listings, booking-option displays, and outbound links
• Display and maintain property, pricing, availability, booking-channel, and direct-booking information
• Connect Jaunt accounts and eligible activity with MyStay Rewards and display available or potential rewards information
• Support hosts and property managers in adding, claiming, verifying, managing, and promoting properties and booking options
• Track outbound clicks, referrals, affiliate activity, and related attribution where applicable
• Communicate about accounts, listings, customer support, service messages, and, where permitted, promotional offers
• Operate, maintain, personalize, analyze, and improve the Site and Jaunt services
• Detect or prevent fraud, misuse, duplicate or unauthorized accounts or listings, and other suspicious activity
• Comply with legal obligations, enforce applicable terms and policies, and protect Jaunt, our users, partners, and rights

4. Sharing of Information

We may disclose personal information to:

• MyStay Rewards when needed to operate connected accounts, display rewards, associate eligible activity, or administer rewards-related features
• Booking channels, direct-booking providers, travel partners, PMS companies, hosts, property managers, and other authorized partners when needed to provide Jaunt features, maintain property or booking information, connect users with booking options, verify listings or activity, or resolve an issue
• Service providers that support hosting, communications, analytics, customer support, security, fraud prevention, and other business operations
• Affiliate, referral, advertising, marketing, and analytics providers where applicable, permitted by law, and subject to applicable privacy choices
• Government authorities, legal advisors, or other parties when required by law, necessary to protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business

We do not sell personal information for money. Certain disclosures may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under some privacy laws. Where applicable, we provide the rights and choices required by those laws, including the California rights described below.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to operate accounts, property listings, search and comparison services, connected rewards features, maintain business and transaction records, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, enforce applicable terms and policies, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations. Retention periods may vary by category of information. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we will delete or de-identify it as appropriate.

6. Data Protection

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include encryption, access controls, secure infrastructure, monitoring, and other security practices appropriate to the nature of the information.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and information may be processed or stored in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to countries with data protection laws that differ from those in your country. We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, understand usage, support security, measure search and outbound activity, attribute referrals or affiliate activity where applicable, and, where permitted, support analytics and marketing. You can control many cookies through your browser settings. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional choices for non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

Jaunt is a search and comparison platform and may link to or interact with third-party booking platforms, direct-booking websites, hosts, property managers, travel partners, or other services that are not operated by Jaunt Travel, LLC. When you choose a booking option, you may leave Jaunt and continue to a third-party website or service. Those third parties determine their own privacy practices, which are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information or completing a reservation.

11. Privacy Notice for California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

This section applies to California residents and supplements the disclosures above as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA").

Categories of Personal Information

In the preceding twelve months, we may have collected the following CCPA categories, depending on how an individual interacted with Jaunt:

• Identifiers, such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address, account identifiers, and IP address
• Customer records information, including contact information and account or transaction information where applicable
• Commercial information, including property, search, saved-stay, reservation or stay information, booking channels, outbound booking selections, affiliate or referral activity, and MyStay Rewards-related activity where applicable
• Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as browser type, device information, pages visited, searches, clicks, and interaction data
• Geolocation data, such as general or approximate location inferred from IP address, search activity, or booking-related activity
• Inferences drawn from the information above, such as preferences used to personalize search results, communications, or Jaunt experiences

To the extent we collect information treated as sensitive personal information under the CCPA, we do not use or disclose it for purposes other than those permitted by applicable law.

Sources of Personal Information

Sources may include you directly, your devices and browser, hosts and property managers, PMS platforms, booking channels, direct-booking providers, MyStay Rewards, travel partners, data providers, authorized integrations, and service providers that assist us in operating Jaunt.

Business and Commercial Purposes

We use and disclose these categories for the purposes described in Sections 3 and 4 of this Privacy Policy.

California Privacy Rights

Subject to the CCPA and applicable exceptions, California residents may have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected; know the categories of sources, purposes, and third parties involved; request deletion; request correction; obtain certain information in a portable format; opt out of sale or sharing; and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing

We do not sell personal information for money. To the extent our use of advertising, affiliate, referral, or marketing technologies constitutes "sharing" under the CCPA, California residents may opt out by contacting us at legal@jaunttravel.com or by using any privacy choice mechanism we make available on the Site. Where required, we will process recognized opt-out preference signals in accordance with applicable law.

Sensitive Personal Information

California residents may have the right to limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require offering a right to limit, except as otherwise disclosed or permitted by applicable law.

How to Exercise California Rights

You may submit an applicable request by contacting legal@jaunttravel.com. You may also use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or the authority of an agent. We will respond within the time periods required by applicable law.

Shine the Light

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 may permit California residents to request certain information regarding disclosures of personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes. Requests may be sent to legal@jaunttravel.com.

12. Children's Privacy

Jaunt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If a feature or jurisdiction requires a higher minimum age or parental consent, we will apply the applicable requirement.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Privacy Policy on the Site and update the effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.

14. Contact Information

For purposes of applicable privacy laws, Jaunt Travel, LLC is responsible for the personal information it processes for Jaunt, except where another participating organization independently determines how and why it processes personal information.
