Blue Parrot #8 is right on the beach near downtown Gulf Shores, AL. This 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom duplex sleeps 14 and is complete with everything you need to have a perfect beach vacation. The beachfront swimming pool with comfortable lounge chairs is perfect for relaxing and playing. The two beautiful decks provide uninterrupted breathtaking gulf views of the sparkling waters and sugar white sand. The large open living area provides spectacular gulf front views. (Pool heater is $60/day extra.)

The space

Blue Parrot #8 appeared on the TV show "Island Life" (Season 4 Episode 9).

As of January 2025, all furniture in the home is new except for the kitchen table. Also, all bathrooms have gone through full or partial renovations (new countertops, mirrors, faucets and light fixtures).

The home has 2400 square feet of space. From the pool view, the unit is on the left side of the duplex. The main level of the home features 2 bedrooms, a full bath, a kitchen, a dining area and a living room. The first bedroom on the main level has a king size bed. The second bedroom on the main level is just off of the kitchen area and has two twin beds. Both bedrooms on the first floor share a full size bathroom. The second level of the home features 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a private bath and a private gulf front deck. The middle bedroom has 2 bunk beds and the north bedroom has a king size bed and they share a full size bathroom between these two rooms accessible from the hallway. The layout and design of Blue Parrot #8 are perfect for comfort, privacy and entertaining. Located in the heart of Gulf Shores, only 1.8 miles from Highway 59, Blue Parrot #8 is a perfect beach house with all of the comforts and luxuries of home.

The unit also has a very large ground level storage room we call the "Toy Closet" (see picture). It is stocked with beach chairs, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, beach toys and pool toys for use by guests. This gives you more space in your vehicle during travel since you do not have to bring these items with you. You can also use this room to store your own things so you don't have to carry them inside the unit.

For technology lovers, the home has internet download speeds up to 1 GB and 6 Smart TVs each with YouTube TV, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, YouTube and many other aps.

The pool is heated upon request ($60/day charge) and the pool is shared with the other side of the duplex. The pool is 3 feet deep on one end and 5 feet deep on the other end. There are less than 50 houses in Gulf Shores where the pool is between the house and the ocean and this is one of them. The pool recently went through a major renovation (new concrete, fence, etc.).

The unit comes with bed linens (pillow cases, sheets and blankets) and bathroom linens (bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and bath mats). 10 beach towels are provided. One roll of toilet paper is provided per bathroom. Wash cloths, dish towels, a roll of paper towels, a packet of dish washing detergent and a small bottle of dish washing liquid are provided for the kitchen.

Fire station is located one block from the unit.

The AC does not have a min/max block so you can cool the unit to your desired temperature.

Small shower chair is provided.

Guest access

You will have access to a ground floor toy closet, interior of half of the duplex, the exterior deck, the pool and parking under the unit and in front of the unit.
